Several years ago, a neighbor who was thinning his hydrangeas, asked if I'd like a small sapling. I took it, planted it in a shady spot in my backyard, and it has since spread and grown into this magnificent bush. Sun-dappled, no less. One of four kinds of hydrangea in the yard.
