Dame Diana Rigg in her first season as host of PBS's 'Mystery!' Here she is in all her glory, surrounded by some men on the crew. I wrote her introductory and closing remarks to the programs, as I had done for eight years previously for host Vincent Price. When Vincent retired and a replacement was needed, I had suggested either Diana Rigg or Lauren Bacall. Bacall was nixed because it was said that she was "difficult." So Rigg was chosen...and guess what?
